The river Nene runs adjacent to the property and provides extensive riverbank walks, with the Peter Scott walk being just a 15-minute drive away. 

The roads are quiet and flat making this ideal cycling territory. Cycles are available to hire locally or bring your own, there is plenty of secure storage. 

There is an abundance of local market towns specialising both in their markets and auctions - bargains galore. For anyone needing more serious retail therapy, both Peterborough and Cambridge are within a short drive. 

For those who enjoy water activities there are numerous lakes and rivers making the fens an ideal fishing retreat. Or why not bring your sketchbook, the local architecture, most notably that at Ely, is stunning.

The fens are an ornithologists dream or for more activity there is a riding school in the village and golf courses nearby.
